Spring Break II

I just want you guys to know I DID get my pedi! Much better! I'm ready for flip flops now!

Andrew and I took a dance lesson on Friday night. I think they might invite us to be on Dancing with the Stars soon=)!

We got to go see the Lakers and Spurs! It was FUN!

The Lakers beat the Spurs. Kobe got hot in the 4th quarter and it was all over for the Spurs.

I have admired this lighthouse in Buchanan Dam since my first trip to Austin. I think it is so gorgeous! I look forward to seeing this lighthouse on each trip.

We had such a great spring break in Austin! The Lakers/Spurs game was great. We were hoping for the Spurs to win, but the Lakers got them in the 4th quarter. It was a GREAT atmosphere! Friday night we got to go to our favorite restaurant, Trudys, for dinner. After dinner we went to a dance lesson at Go Dance in Austin. This was really fun! It was very basic...we learned the Two Step (slightly different than what we're used to) and the country waltz. We're planning to go back for the Cha Cha and Tango. After our lesson we went out to Grahams to bust a move;)! We had a great time! Now it's home and back to work...

I went running at Zilker Park today. It was a BEAUTIFUL!!! This scenery was amazing and so was all of the rest;).

I bought my earrings for the wedding today. Hearts of course!

I'm having a great time in Austin! We took in a UT baseball game on Sunday! That was fun! Today I went over to Barton Creek in search of this cute little store I like there. I decided I don't want to wear your typical uncomfortable wedding heels. So I decided I wanted to see what Yellow Box flip flops I could find. I picked these out today! I like them a lot! I also threw in the earrings! Afterward, I went over to Zilker for a run and WOW. Everything was just gorgeous...everything;)! I told Andrew he needs to go with me next time to enjoy the scenery as well! On Wednesday we will be at the Lakers/Spurs game in San Antonio!

We ordered the bridesmaid dresses yesterday! They'll all be in PINK of course, but these are the styles everyone has picked. I think they're all going to look gorgeous! I can't wait to get to see the dresses when they come in!

Partners?

This is Kari and her fiance, Chris. I got to meet him and hang out with them this weekend. I like him a lot! The wedding plans can continue;).

My friend, Kari! We're both engaged and getting married! Her wedding will be 2 months after mine and Andrews on September 18th!

YIKES! This was quite a workout!

I truly had a fantastic weekend seeing Kari. We did lots of shopping and wedding talk! We did have some DRAMA! We got back to her apartment Friday night late and talked for awhile. I was EXHAUSTED and headed to bed and was apparently out immediately. I woke up later and heard a beeping sound and thought I should get up and ask Kari what it was, but I fell back to sleep;). Kari came and knocked on my door later and asked if I could hear the beeping. Long story short it was her carbon monoxide alarm that was going off! She had already called the fire department and they were headed over. She said I could just stay in bed and sleep. (She figured it was because the detector was old, but called to be on the safe side.) She talked to the fireman and said her friend (me) was asleep in the other room when he was checking things. Before he left he recommended to open the windows in "her partner's room." LOL Chris, Kari, Andrew, and I have all had a pretty good laugh about this one. Now I'm just looking forward to Friday! It's the beginning of spring break and I'll be headed to Austin! Andrew and I plan on shopping for outfits for our engagement pictures.

Finally!

I was very excited to see this box sitting by my front door when I drove up today. I dove in as soon as I walked in the door!

I LOVE it all! It's even better than I thought it was going to look! The picture does NOT do it justice!

These are my favorite. I can't tell you how pretty they look. I almost switched and ordered different toasting flutes at the last second, but I am sooo glad we got these! I tried to zoom in to show our names that are engraved on the side, but it wouldn't show.

This all came from 1 company and it's the main package I've been dying to get. There was some kind of a computer glitch with the first order they said (from January), but we got it all straightened and everything arrived today. I couldn't be happier with it all!

Christmas in March!

Coming home from work is very exciting these days! Everyday I've come home this week I've had a package arrive. Not all has been wedding stuff (teacher supplies!), but it's fun. I look forward to checking out my front door and mailbox when I drive up! I received an email today saying our main shipment with our toasting flutes, serving set, etc. is on the way. Andrew also got to go pick up our wedding bands! I can't wait to see them!

Kala's New Career?

The caketopper arrived today! I thought it would have a base, but I think his will actually be better. We'll have pink roses going around it.

I was VERY excited to get the caketopper today. I really like it! We met with the videographer today and he's hired! I'm not sure that he does a lot of special effects, but I'm thinking I want to do a lot of that. I also seriously think I could do a really good job at this. I think after the wedding and I add effects to our wedding video I want to start doing videography. I'll be keeping my day job (ha ha), but this would be something fun to do on the side.
