Pumpkin Pickin'

We've been enjoying lots of Fall Fun! The weekend before last we went to a pumpkin patch at a church here. The sun got in Austins eyes... It's cute, but that darn sun...

This was a really neat festival. We got to go out and pick our pumpkin! How fun is that?!

This last weekend Andrew and I took Austin to The Fiddlestick Farm in Midland, TX. Here's Andrew and Austin sitting out front.

We checked out the cows, chickens, and pigs. Austin liked watching them. There was lots of neat things that he will REALLY enjoy next year.

How cute is this face?!

He was so good while we were here. This was right up his alley...lots of things to stare at!

Afterward we went over to see Andrew's parents and Granny. Austin put on quite the show of course!

Austin and Cindy - Cindy is so sweet to Austin. Austin was kicking away and would kick Cindy. Cindy would just get up and move.

This next week we will be looking forward to pumpkin carving and Halloween. Guess what Austin will be!?!? It's gonna be GOOOOOOD...

7 Months

Since I had the day off today, I went ahead and took Austin's 7 month pictures 1 day early. He can't change TOOO much in 1 day;). This month was definitely the most difficult one to get the pictures from him. The second I put him down in the crib this is what I got... This one is a bit out of order, but we have our first owie. Austin rolled over last night onto the jumper and got a little red mark on his head. He cried so hard. I think it was the combination of him being tired and it hurt.

This is the best I could get! Crazy kid!

And here he is looking extra cute but being difficult! Yes, he's VERY good at getting up on his hands and knees rocking these days. He's getting very close to crawling! He just kind of lunges forward sometimes and does a face plant into the carpet.

OK, now he's being a little more cooperative. Love that smile!

This is sooo painful having to lay on my back in my bed!

Yep, he's a cutie!

This one makes me a little sad. I cleaned out some of his clothes in his closet today. This is one of his premie outfits. It was way too big when we first brought him home from the hospital...

I can't believe how much he's grown. He started at 4 lbs and .5 oz. He is now 16 lbs 5.5 oz. When he was first born I worried and worried about him growing and getting bigger and now it makes me a little sad. However, I looooove this stage right now. Austin is so fun and playful these days. He is VERY alert and aware of everything around him. He loves to play in his jumperoo and play gym. He also enjoys sitting in his bouncer at night and watching Baby Einstein. The cartoon parts are his favorite. He loves to chew on his giraffe, Sophie. He has learned this great new trick of making farting noises with his mouth and spewing spit all over the place. It cracks me and Andrew up every time. He also has started sticking out his tongue. It's cute now, but later....lol We go for a walk each evening and he really likes that. It seems to relax him. I just have to make sure I get home before dark because he cries after it gets dark outside. He loooooves his baby food. He eats cereal every morning, 1/2 fruit and 1/2 a veggie for lunch and dinner, and a yogurt for a late night snack. He likes to take a bath around 8:15. Bath time is always a hit, BUT getting out is AWFUL. He screams from the time I pick him up out of the tub until his bottle is in his mouth. It makes things a little difficult sometimes. He was sleeping from 8:30ish until 6:30ish, BUT for the last week he has been waking up around 4:30 to eat and goes right back to sleep. A growth spurt maybe? He's very easy to put to sleep at night, but isn't always the best napper during the day. He is a precious, precious baby boy that we are very blessed to have and love.

Austin & Dad

The other day my mom came across an old baby picture of my dad and compared it to Austin's 5 month pictures. There are a LOT of similarities! I thought it was pretty neat to see the comparison of the 2. Check out that smile!

Homecoming

Austin, are you ready for some FOOTBALL!?!? Friday was the Hobbs Homecoming. Austin went to his first parade. Here he is waiting for it to start. The sirens at the beginning didn't bother him at all!

He loves to watch anything moving, so he loved it. He was great for the entire parde.

We had a great time. The weather was great, it wasn't too hot.

And we required a little bit of entertainment toward the end to make sure there wasn't any screaming...it definitely worked!

We even made it to the game! Notice Austin wearing his black and gold. He was really good until just after halftime and then it was bed time, so we headed home.
