Dresses are in

The bridesmaid dresses arrived today. They look great. Kristi and Janet are going to try them on (hopefully) tomorrow. I think all of the girls are going to look gorgeous in them!

Ahhhhhh...The Bride to Be Kala Duke....This is the invitation for the Stone shower. Cathy, Amy, Marcia, and Jan are so awesome for planning it! I'm looking forward to it. It should be lots of fun!

The REAL Engagement Pictures

I like this one a lot!
We LOVE this one! I want to blow it up and put it in the dining room.
This one is cool too, but I think I like the darker one better.
You would never believe where this one was taken! LOL
Yeah, I look a little fake in this one!
Aren't we cute!?!
Andrew's Heisman pose!
Yeah, I'm a football pro! Can't you tell!?!
Miguel kept telling us to kiss, so what could we do but comply!?!
The Longhorn and the Red Raider
Yeah, we're going to have a few battles!
I think this one might be my favorite! You can even see Colt McCoy's autograph on Andrew's jersey.
Yes, I look very scary! I know Andrew was totally intimidated!
Don't you always see football players smiling at each other?? Notice Tech has the ball and driving in the red zone=).
Here's a preview of some of our engagement pictures we took this weekend. We had so much fun taking these pictures. Our photographer was Miguel Flores and I HIGHLY recommend him! He took over 200 pictures! I'm not sure how we will all narrow down to order what we want!

Engagement Pictures

Marry you? Hmmmm...I don't know. Let me think about it.
YES!!!

Please, please, please marry me!!!
Sealed with a kiss.

Ahhh...the happy couple.

He's the one I want!

The Longhorn and The Red Raider
This weekend we got to take our engagement pictures with Miguel Flores. I am THRILLED with the results. We did them on Saturday and he came over tonight to let us see the pictures. They're great! He wants to do some photoshop to some of them and then we will get to see them again later to see which ones to order. Mom and Dad came over tonight to see them and then Mom took some of our own funny engagement pictures.

Cheap Labor

Last night I had some GREAT ladies come over to help put together all of the invitations! I told them snacks were going to be offered and somehow they all came running. Just kidding! It was a HUGE help and we had such a good time. We had to put the ribbon through right slits and tie it just so on 250 invitations! Then, we stuffed them in an envelope. It was a delicate process, but we managed=)! This is the way to get something done! Thanks, ladies!

Our Horsefeathers Table

Friday Mom and I went to pick out the stuff for the registry at Horsefeathers. I work at Horsefeathers sometimes during the summer and holidays. I've done MANY bridal registries for other brides, but this time it's my turn. I must say this side of it is more fun! Today I got to go by and see our table all set up. Mandy and Jennifer did a fantastic job! They outdid themselves on this one! Thanks, ladies!

I AM OK

All pink roses for the wedding!
On my way to Odessa Friday there was a small fire on the side of the road. This is what it looked like today. It wound up getting fairly big.

Andrew had planned to come here this weekend for premarital counseling, but we had to slightly alter our weekend plans. His mom was put into the hosptial with heart problems. Andrew headed to Odessa Friday morning and I headed that way right when I got off work. On the way to Odessa I saw a fire on the side of the road. I pushed my Onstar button in my car to call for help. I pushed it several times and waited...I finally barely heard a tiny little voice. I loudly said...I AM OK! THERE IS A FIRE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD JUST NORTH OF WHERE I AM RIGHT NOW. PLEASE CALL ON MY CELL PHONE. I CANNOT HEAR YOU. I gave them my cell # as well. Afterward they called and I realized the reason I couldn't hear them is that I had turned the volume down on the radio! (Classic dumb blonde moment!!) I had to talk to all several different departments and give as much information as I could think of. Andrew has been getting a big kick out of the...I...AM...OK!!! I didn't want them to think I needed help though! LOL We went back by the next day and the fire got fairly big, but fortunately wasn't anywhere near any houses.
We got our first premarital counseling session done and it went good! We have another session in 2 weeks. We also got our flowers ordered for the wedding! All pink roses, my favorite! Andrew's mom, Joyce, has been in great spirits and is doing much better now. They shocked her heart this morning to put it back in rhythm and it worked. Hopefully she will get to go home tomorrow!

2 Digits!!!

We are down to 2 digits until the wedding! When I started this blog, we were in the 190's. How time is flying! Our big day is going to be here very soon and we can't wait!
Our unity candle arrived this week, but I forgot to take a picture of it to share! I'm in Austin now, so this one will have to work until I can take a picture of the real thing. It is VERY pretty!
This week I've been working on rehearsal dinner! I had it booked for Ranchers, but they can only hold 40 people in the separate room and it looks like we will be a little closer to 50. I've called around several places and it looks like La Paloma is going to be the pick! They have great Mexican food! Mom, Dad, Kristi, Kamden, Kason, and I went to eat their on Tuesday night to get the whole effect to make our decision. (Kamden REALLY liked the hamburger. Weird kid! lol) They're the only restaurant that has been willing to close down for the rehearsal dinner. I want to either have the whole restaurant or a room for just our guests.
