Austin and I have been spending these days indoors mostly. It is too stinking hot. We enjoy getting out fot our play and lunch dates, but we like the AC! I'm starting to wonder if Austin will be teething soon. He is getting ver drooly and likes to do lots of chewing. I woul rather wait awhile for this milestone though...
Somehow it was veeeeery hard for me to find a cap Austin's size. The stores don't have room for any little boy caps because they have so much pink stuff out! I finally found this one at Hobby Lobby of all places...

Rolling Over
Austin really enjoys sitting in front of the window and looking outside. He loves to watch the squirrels and birds. This is a few days overdue, but Austin can roll over! He started on June 13th for the first time! He's REALLY good at it. Most of the time as soon as I sit him down on his tummy he starts rolling immediately. He can only go tummy to back right now, thank goodness. I'm not ready for him to be that mobile yet!
He usually pushes up really high with his hands and then rolls over like it's nothing at all!
Andrew was off on Friday and got to have some Austin time. The chilled together on the couch and then took a nap together like this.
On Saturday Austin and I went to Midland. We went to join in the 1st birthday party for Bryson, Jennifer Weaver Wright's son. It was a lot of fun to get to see everyone in her family and for them to meet Austin. Afterward we went over to see Destiny, Charlotte, Joyce, and Granny. Austin didn't get ANY attention at all;). Poor thing...Ha ha!

3 months old!
My sweet boy is 3 months old today! He had a REALLY good day. He was very happy all day long and we had lots of play time. I keep meaning to read to him, but haven't done it until today. Here is the first book I read to Austin... My mom gave me the book and I can record my voice in it. I'm going to record myself reading the book and then give it back to her to have in August when he's with her during the day. This is a picture of Austin in "the sleeper hold." This is how he likes to be held. The right arm MUST be down and pacifier in. We had a nice little nap on the couch today...
We had some tummy time today. Hes getting better at laying on a blanket and kicking around for awhile.

And here's our 3 month pictures. Andrew is talking to him in this one. The look on his face is hysterical! He's soooo big!
And here's the other 3 month picture. He has the funniest facial expressions.
Austin weighed 11 lbs and 11.5 ounces today. He eats 4 oz ever 3 hours during the day and goes to bed between 11 and 12. He usually sleeps until about 5 and then wakes again at 8. He looooves his swing. We put him in there at night after he has a bath and eats. He falls asleep in his swing and then we put him in his bed. He has been in his own bed for 3 weeks now and has done surprisingly well. I'll be anxious for his 4 month old stats. We go back to the doctor and I'm hoping he has gained in his percentiles!

Play Date
We have been having a little play date on Friday afternoons with a couple of friends that have babies very close to Austin's age. We still have a few more that are going to join us soon. Today we got them together for some pictures. Here's Austin and Brenden... I'm not sure if Maria or Caylen had more fun in the play gym! Ha ha!

A Visit with Sweet Charlotte

He's a fish!
Last night we had Kamden and Kason's kid birthday party. They both have summer birthdays that are pretty close together, so Kristi rented the pool and had both of their parties at the same time. Austin got all dressed up in his new swimming trunks. Of course we had to have a little photo shoot before we left for the pool... Here's Mimi and Austin right before we got in. How cute is he in those trunks?!?
This pool is pretty neat because you can just walk in with water only up to your feet and slowly gets deeper and deeper. I sat down on the edge and put Austin's bootie and feet in to start with. He just chilled out and liked it! This surprised me. He loves his baths now, but they are also in warm water and I turn the heater on in the bathroom still. I walked all the way in with him....
I'm still so shocked I didn't get a big WHAAAAAAA!!! He NEVER cried. He just let me hold him and chilled out. Andrew came in (after his stinking Texas baseball game) and he held him for a while too. The water was pretty cool and he started shivering, so we got him out and warmed him up. As soon as he got all warm, he was out...

Summertime!
Hallelujah! School's out for summer! I have several friends that have babies around Austin's age. We've decided to have a little play date on Friday afternoons. Here's Austin on his first date. She's an older woman! Older by 1 month;)! Austin is a strong man and holds his head up very well. Here he is in his new Bumbo seat!
Remember those sonograms of Austin sucking his thumb? He hasn't tried to suck his thumb since he was born...until the last few days! Now he gets a finger and sometimes tries to get a fist in his mouth. I always know when he does it because he smacks so much!
Austin right after his bath...he likes them now:)!
Here's Austin all swaddled up in his bed asleep. When we get him ready for bed we say, "I'll get him all snuggied up." He is now in his own room and bed. We have the Snuza Halo breathing monitor on him and a video monitor. We also have an incline in his bed because of his reflux. Somehow he always turns exactly like this while he's sleeping.
