Breaking news!

We have BIG news tonight! Austin laughed for the first time! He's been trying to for awhile. He'd be smiling big and look like he was about to laugh, but then nothing would come out. Tonight I was giving him a bath and I have a silly bathtub song I sing to him every night. He laughed at me during the song! I can't say that I blame him:)!! It was a small, quick laugh but sooo cute and sweet. I've had a REALLY hard time getting a good picture of Austin smiling. I got quite a few of them today, but they're still not the greatest since I was holding him while I took them. They're still very cute though:)! Slightly amused...

If I would have just had him centered in this one it would have been sooo good!

More smiles!

Chilling in his play gym. It seems like the last few days Austin has started being more OK with not being held all of the time. He's been spending more time in his swing, play gym, and bouncer. This helps me out a lot:)!!

Last weekend we got to go to Odessa for Ian's birthday part. A lot of Andrew's side of the family from Austin got to meet Austin (ha ha) for the first time! I should have taken more pictures, but here's Courtney with Austin. She was shocked to find out pregnancy is actually 10 months;)!

We got a new baby jogger for Austin. He's technically not old enough for it, but I decided to give it a shot any way. I watch him closely and don't jog and he seems to really like it. He doesn't like his stroller on the street because it's a little rough, this jogger seems to be a smoother ride AND he gets to look around.

Kicking & Cooing

Austin is so much fun! He's kicking, cooing, and smiling so much these days! He's a sweet, happy baby boy!

2 months old!

Austin turned 2 months old on Wednesday! Time is flying by with this little cutie pie. We also had his 2 month checkup on Thursday....and his shots=(. Austin is 9 lbs 12 oz! He's a chunk these days! It was heartbreaking to see him get his shots. He SCREAMED when they gave him the shots, but they did it very quickly. He calmed down and went to sleep within 5 minutes. He slept a lot and really hasn't been very cranky. In fact, he has been soooo much fun today. We've had more smiling and cooing today than he has had before! He has been smiling all day. For the first time today he was smiling when I was trying to make him smile. For the last 2 weeks it has just been at random times when we least expect it. He was doing BIG smiles at Daddy right before this picture...
He played several times for quite awhile in his play gym today.

His 2 month birthday! He's not skin and bones anymore!

And finally...a smile in a picture! I wasn't even trying for this smile and he just started grinning while I was positioning for this picture. Of course he had to look away, but I GOT IT! Could he be any cuter?!?!

I'm still working on a closeup smile. Somehow my 2 month old doesn't cooperate when I get out the camera=).

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day was wonderful. I spent the entire day hanging out with Austin, of course. He was very cuddly the entire day, so much so it was hard to get my chicken enchiladas made for dinner! I didn't get to make the cake I was going to do, but I decided I'd rather snuggle with Austin anyway. We were at home most of the day, but went to my parents house for dinner with the family. It was Mexican food and delicious! Andrew had to work, but got off at about 5 to hang out with us. I've decided Austin is a pretty awesome little boy and I'm very lucky to get to be his mommy. He is the sweetest, cutest, most perfect little baby boy! Here he is on Mother's Day...I told him he kind of looked like a white trash baby all day with a bad hair day, t-shirt on and diaper showing, and one sock. We didn't go out in public like this though:). Austin and Mom - Austin is smiling now (this is right after he did a cute smile), but he won't let me get a picture of it. He smiles when you least expect, but not when you try and make him smile. No, he's not difficult at all;).

Jeff had a 3 games series this weekend that they won and are going to Albuquerque for stae tournament!

Kamden is super sweet to his little cousin. I put this bouncer together! I was quite pleased with myself!

I took Austin to part of one of Jeff's baseball games. He did great! He was all into it and even screaming at the ump;)!

Baby Charlotte

Austin took a trip to Home Depot. I told him there will be no more race car driving in his future...especially since he's asleep at the wheel! This weekend Andrew, Austin, and I went to Odessa for Destiny's baby shower. This was a bit of a change for me....to actually attend your own baby shower. Ha ha! Destiny got great stuff for Charlotte.

We can't wait to meet Charlotte! Destiny is due June 10th, but we think it will probably be a little sooner than that. Can you imagine the trouble Austin and Charlotte are going to get into together?! Family gatherings are going to be very interesting very soon...
