We haven't done much in Austin's room this weekend. Andrew worked today and has to work tomorrow. My big project is cleaning out our closet! The other day I went in there to steal one of Andrew's t-shirts to wear and could hardly get it out because his clothes were packed in there so tightly. It's because I have 4 racks and he has only 1! Sooooo I'm working on freeing up another rack for him. Also, I'm going through old shoes and other junk to get rid of extra stuff! I've made progress today! I'm hoping to finish it up tomorrow. Austin's College Fund
It's never too early to get started! Have you seen how expensive college is these days!?! On Friday Mandy dropped by this super cute piggy bank that matches Austin's room perfectly! I've already started putting some change in there! Thanks, Mandy!

Thank heaven for little boys...
Andrew had a much needed weekend off...well, sort of. Saturday we went over to Midland/Odessa. We started in Midland where we needed to run a few errands AND I got to have On the Border for lunch. YUM! After the errands we went over to Odessa to celebrate Destiny's birthday. We had lots of fun hanging out with Destiny, John, Sam, Joyce, Granny, Tiki, Mona, and Brooklynn! Today Andrew started working on some of the projects that needed to be done. He got Austin's new blinds and curtains up! I LOVE how they look!
How cute are these!?!? Soooo perfect in his room:)! AND they are supposed to keep out 99.9% of the light (when closed of course.) I'm thinking this could be crucial in keeping Austin asleep longer:).
And here's what it looks like with the blinds open! They look SO much better than the old ones.
One of the errands we ran on Saturday was to go to Burlington. I wanted to look at their diaper bags, but didn't really find anything I liked. I decided to go ahead and look at the baby clothes for Austin. He needed a coming home from the hospital outfit. We found this one and decided it was MUST. I love how it has layers and a blanket to go with it. SOOOO CUTE:)!!

It's all about Austin!
Yep, these days we have been doing lots of projects to get ready for Austin. Andrew and I headed to Home Depot to get the new blinds, fan, curtain rod, and crib screws for his room.
The other day we also got his chest of drawers and Andrew got it put together. It was a BIG job! The thing came in a million different parts.
It looks very nice, but it was a pain to put together! Andrew worked very hard on it! Now we're filling those drawers up.
This is actually my desk that I had in my bedroom growing up. It looks great in his room! He's already received some toys that I put on the shelf. When cleaning out the closet (that's been my BIG job of the weekend) I found some of my old baby books and those are on the top shelf of the desk. LOOOOOVE the Care Bears!
And here's his changing table! I really like it! I love all of the storage space it has in the little cubbies.
So next up we need to put up the blinds and install the ceiling fan. I saw we, but Andrew's getting the short end of this stick. He does a great job on all of it though! I also ordered his curtains. I didn't get the ones I actually wanted though. They were out of stock! I wanted the ones with just the stars on them, but I got some very similar to those and they have moons and stars. They should be here by the end of the week!

Happy 1/2 Anniversary
Yes, today is our 1/2 anniversary. We got married 6 months ago today. It's been an eventful first 6 months and the next 6 should be even more exciting! Today when I got home from work I had chocolates, flowers, and a card. What a wonderful husband I have! I returned the favor by making him his favorites for dinner, lasagna and chocolate chip cookies. We also got to enjoy watching the national championship game together. What more can you ask for;)?

Busy Boy
Yeah, this has pretty much turned into the All About Baby Austin Blog...but isn't it fun!?!?! :) Andrew has been very busy the last couple of days assembling projects. I got him a computer desk and chair for Christmas he put together last night and tonight he has been working on the changing table. Austin's baby bedding arrived yesterday and I looove it. It's too cute in his room! Andrew also raised Austin's crib earlier, this picture was taken before that.
Andrew has worked hard on Austin's changing table. I didn't want a typical changing table. I wanted one that could be used longer. I love these shelves with the cubes in them. We also got some little baskets to go inside the cubes. Organization! Love it:)!
Doesn't it look great!?!? It'll be doubled with another one in front of it to make it wide enough and we'll add the changing cushion to go on top.

And for the next project....
I found these curtains with stars on them. I think they'll be super cute in navy blue with the silver stars in Austin's room. I haven't ordered them yet because we need to replace the blinds first, but these are looking like a MUST to me:).
