Valentine's Day

This week has been incredibly busy! One of the most fun parts is that Bryant chuckled for the first time while he was awake. He's full of smiles most of the time and LOVES to be talked to. He's chuckled in his sleep a couple of times, but this time he was wide awake. I was kissing his cheeks and he let out the chuckle. He looooves that. Hopefully I can get a video of him chuckling soon.

Bryant really enjoys sitting up on the couch and watching tv! Funny boy..

 

We've been waiting (fighting with insurance) since November to get the synagis shot. It's an antibody for rsv and he finally got it this week. Poor baby...it was a painful shot. He was so sweet at the doctors office, even full of smiles with Dr. Murillo.

He was sooo sleepy after the shot. This one is funny....

 

I got to go to Austin's Valentine party at preschool...

 

Austin also got to come to my 4th grade Valentine party. It was a skating party and he had such a great time! No skating for this crazy boy though...

 

And of course Bryant needed some Valentine loves, but he wasn't overly cooperative...

It got a little better though...

Fun days

We've been having fun days, but busy days since I've gone back to work. It seems like our nights are super busy with getting two boys bathed and ready for bed, diaper bag packed for the next day, Austin's backpack ready to go, and clothes laid out. Bryant's made major progress sleeping lately. One night he even made it 9 1/2 hours. Earlier I predicted him to be my eater, but for Austin to be the sleeper. I might be wrong on that! Maybe they'll both be good sleepers. Please oh please!

This is what Austin looks like when I put him to bed. He's so happy! Never cries to go to bed for the night. (Now naps in the other hand...)

Of course Austin needed a turn!

Bryant got a new play gym. He really likes it! He gets to kick the piano keys to make music. He's definitely a future musician! Ha!

I think Austin has accepted we are keeping Bryant. He's started paying a little more attention to him. I think he wonders why Bryant just lays around all of the time!

 

The other night after my bath I walked out into the living room to find Andrew asleep with Bryant on the couch and here's what Austin was doing...

Bryant Andrew

On October 20th my sweet Bryant was born. He was a tiny 3 lbs 14 oz. he spent his first 17 days in the Nicu.

This is right after he was born.

Fortunately, those tubes and wires didn't last long. All he needed help with was regulating his body temp.

Our Nicu nurse was so sweet and gave Bryant his pumpkin shirt and hat. So cute!

Bryant is such a sweet baby. He adjusted to home very quickly! This baby loves to be held at ALL times! He's definitely an eater. During the day he usually goes about 2 hours, but during the night he makes it between 4 and 6 hours. He has already gained and weighs 11 lbs 9 oz! He doesn't mess around!

Sick baby:(

On days I work and Austin goes to my parents house I get me all ready first and then go to get Austin right when I'm ready to walk out the door. This morning it didn't go so great. When I went to get him i discovered he was a sick boy. Broke my heart! We spent the day snuggling on the couch and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. No idea how many episodes we watched today! During his nap I did get my closet cleaned out! He felt better during the afternoon and then get whiny before bedtime. Hopefully, he will wake up feeling all better in the morning.

Potty time!

I've noticed every night before I put Austin in the tub that he starts peeing when I take off his diaper. On one show of The Doctors a viewer asked how people in Europe get their babies potty trained at 1. I can't even imagine this! The answer was to pay attention and watch when you know they're going to go and then put the baby over the toilet. Since I know Austin is going to go before he gets in the tub I decided to buy a potty chair and give it a shot. Now I am NOT potty training yet, but just seeing what will happen. I plan to attempt it this summer when I'm off. Tonight was my first night to try it after the potty chair came in. And.....it worked! I was completely shocked! He really peed in his potty. I think it was just a stroke of luck, but it's a start at least:).

Happy 2013!

We have thoroughly enjoyed Christmas time! Shopping, wrapping, baking,time off, time with family, I love it all! We have fit in as much as we possibly could during the holidays.

 

Andrew and I took Austin to see Santa and he did great. Wasn't scared at all! Didn't want sit still long, but as least we got the pic!

We got a new froyo place in Hobbs! Andrew, Austin, and I had to go try it out on their opening day. Delicious!

 

Andrew's brother and family got here from Mississippi and we spent a week with them. Good times! Here we are at a hockey game.

 

Austin went to chuck e. cheese for the first time! Once we showed him the basketball game that's the only place he wanted to be.

 

Austin wasn't overly excited about opening gifts in Christmas morning. He pretty much just stood and watched us. He did enjoy the candy though!

We wore this baby out driving back and forth to Odessa. He was soooo tired! He doesn't nap if he's not at home.

Elizabeth and I have been friends since 5th grade. She came over for New Years Eve. We had a game marathon!

 

He didn't quite make it until midnight so we did this the next day:).

I was sitting on him and holding his hands and this is what happened as soon as I let him up!

He's had this thing that when he likes to try to get inside little things. My parents have a toy that us a pool for some Little People and he tries to get in it and here he is trying to get in this truck. Lol

He is very fascinated with my iPad and is getting pretty good on it! 2012 was very good to us. We look forward to seeing what 2013 will bring!
